Left - first cut
Right - second cut
Made a custom simple jig to aid with alignment
It stays on the bed. I tighen the screws to align the block
But remove the screws to not mess up the machine
Adhesive between jig and material keeps it in place
Flipped the stock material
Understood that the bit does not go all the way down
After Z axis was zero'd moved the stock to the side
Lowered the bit to a good clearing distance
Measured that -12.55 was the maximum I could go through safely
Cleaning up with the bandsaw and sander needed
Trimmed the top vaccum form to create a waterproof lip
It can now be a baththub for this frog
Make Something using the CNC
Incorporate a post production process: casting, vaccum forming
Always wanted to try a flip cut
For this assignment I wanted to make a proxy for a bowl project
Divided the bowl into two parts
Top part will be just the recess
A flat and secure surface is needed for the flip
So this is run first
Second operation will be the outside of the bowl
Added some leeway to avoid collisons with the spindle
